COMMUNITY MANAGER

We’re looking for a vibrant and enthusiastic individual to coordinate our community engagement initiatives!

The successful candidate will play an important role in our communications, social media, marketing and content creation efforts.

Type: Part-time (to start) / 15-20 hours per week Location: Joyous HQ – Toronto, Ont. Compensation: Based on experience

Responsibilities:  

  • Play an integral role in overall communications and social media strategy.
  • Increase awareness and presence of Joyous Health by actively engaging with our community on social media.
  • Perform additional PR, marketing, and promotional duties.
  • Moderate and respond to comments on Joyous Health (www.joyoushealth.com).
  • Manage general delivery inbox, including health, nutrition, media and product and customer service requests.
  • Manage posting of content to external sites.
  • Join the team at trade shows and other live events as a representative of Joyous Health.
  • Perform additional assistant tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by other team members.  

About You  

  • You are familiar with Joyous Health, including website, blog, books and programs.
  • You are a nutritionist, OR have a passion for healthy living.
  • Have a passion for fostering community and making new connections.
  • You are a self-starter that's able to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience with social media in a professional setting.
  • Digitally savvy and comfortable with WordPress or similar CMS.
  • Detail oriented – it’s all about the details!
  • Love making things happen and bringing ideas to life.
  • Strong written communication skills, including copy writing / editing, proof-reading etc.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to set priorities, work on several simultaneous projects and deliver on time.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting a variety of scenarios, self-sufficient at finding solutions, but know when to ask for help.
  • You’re adaptable, responsive and open to taking on additional tasks that need to be done…with a smile :)
